Founded by JR and Carrol Ginther in 1965, Ginther Stables sits on the beautiful, historic Sappa Creek in the far northwest corner of Kansas. As the sixth generation born and raised on this land, we take pride in raising high-quality quarter horses known for their exceptional disposition and conformation. After settling here in 1895, JR’s father, Elmer, and great-grandfather, Alvie, raised and trained horses and livestock on this very ranch. JR’s son Blaine and his wife, Erin, are hard at work building on this rich family legacy, maintaining the core values that Ginther Stables has represented for many decades: high quality and integrity. In Blaine’s words, these are the same qualities instilled in him by his parents as they worked alongside him during his formative years, and will always be the beating heart of Ginther Stables.
